![]() I have recently started playing badminton with my kids, not only is it entertaining, fun as a family but it really boosts the mind activity. This is a really fun activity if you are interested. Buy some jigsaw puzzles, sit with your kids and work as a family to complete it. Take up any activity of your kid’s choice and start. For the fun part, hand-eye coordination can be strengthened by some activities like solving a jigsaw puzzle or painting. Ask your kid to stretch one arm and hold the other arm at a right angle to hold the extended arm, this will not only strengthen his upper body but will also improve his hand-eye coordination. Some exercises that are a work out for the brain are gravitational glide, an owl, lazy eights. This use of the brain increases the neurological connections within the brain thus strengthening the brain. The active hand is used so often that only those parts of the brain are used to doing chores while when you are using your passive hand you are activating the other part of the brain. Try to make them use their passive hand to do some of the daily activities, for example, brushing their teeth, writing or drawing whichever they prefer. This is an activity which can strengthen their brain to a great extent. These exercises will not only improve his mental and emotional health but they will help build their memory and perk up focus. The thinking cap is an effective exercise for kids and adults for improving learning speed and mood, increasing attention span, and boosting memory. Open your mouth and start massaging the jaw joints in a circular motion. Place the index and middle finger of each hand on a jaw joint. This exercise helps release tension in the jaw and relaxes the eyes. Trace a horizontal “8” or infinity symbol. Keep your knees soft and extend your right hand in front of you. This exercise also improves hand to eye coordination. This is similar to Lazy Eights exercise but with a slight difference in the angle of the eye movement. Try to touch your left ankle with your right hand behind your body.Place your right foot on the floor and lift the left foot off it.Try to touch your right ankle with your left hand behind your body. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, hands laterally up, and elbows slightly bent. This is another variation of the ankle touch and is an effective way to improve balance. Try to touch your left ankle with your right hand. Place your right foot on the floor and lift the left foot off the floor. Lift your right foot off the floor and touch your right ankle with your left hand. 1.Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, hands laterally up, and elbows slightly bent.The standing alternate ankle touch brain gym exercise helps improve balance and coordination between the left and right limbs. This is similar to the previous exercise.
